Pukeko Preschool's major fundraiser for the year is the annual Tauwhare Winter Fair.
Pukeko Preschool held its annual Winter Fair on July 8th 2011. It was an incredible success and enjoyed by all. However, it could not have happened without all the incredible support we received and donations/sponsorship given. We would like to thank EVERYONE who helped us out, including the following:

A special thank you to Ros Chambers who has helped organise all the Winter Fairs so far. Unfortunately for us, her youngest son graduates to school before the next fair. We will miss your input, Ros!
Who We Are
Pukeko Preschool offers a unique opportunity for children to experience a quality early childhood education in an idyllic rural setting. Nestled in the grounds of Tauwhare School, our small Preschool with a big heart provides a solid start to your child’s education.
Pukeko Preschool is a community led licensed Early Childhood Education center, catering for a maximum of 17 children.
In 2004 Eureka Early Childhood Centre was moved to Tauwhare School and began its new life as Pukeko Preschool.
The Teachers
Pukeko Preschool delivers quality education programme by registered experienced teachers, catering for children aged 2.5-4 years of age. The teachers create a nurturing environment in which they provide the variety of stimulating, challenging and exciting education programmes that help develop your child to their full potential. However, children do need to be toilet trained as we do not offer nappy changing facilities.
Susan Thomas is the head teacher/centre manager. She is supported by Sharon Mitchell.
