This year the Room 1 pupils have been learning about the History of New Zealand, Colonial life and changes in our lifestyles since 1884 and specifically the history of Tauwhare School.  A group of children have been working on setting up the history of the school on a wikispace uploading photos, information and links to old newspapers so that the wider audience around the world can see the research undertaken by the pupils and possibly contribute additional information.  They have been learning how to use web 2.0 tools to communicate globally.
